Rumat Studio's online store opened in October 2025, at which point a few patterns were made available for sale. Now, for the first time, a small batch of physical products is for sale. The products are handmade in Suomussalmi, utilizing recycled materials.
Suppa is a sturdy and plush scrunchie made from leftover yarns. Soft Suppa scrunchies are a gentler alternative to more traditional hair ties.
The word "Suppa" refers to a round or funnel-shaped depression in the ground formed during the Ice Age, which resembles the shape of a Suppa scrunchie.
Larger knitting projects usually leave some yarn leftover, and by making new products from them, these quality materials are not wasted. Each Suppa scrunchie is unique and reduces the amount of leftover yarn from different projects. Only one of each Suppa scrunchie is available.
Diameter approximately 18 cm.
Knit material: 95% merino wool, 3% mohair, and 2% silk.
